The Hotel

Just a few steps away from the centre of the town and located on the Bay of Fables (named after Hans Christian Andersen who stayed there in 1833), the elegant Suite Hotel Nettuno, which has been built at the beginning of the last century in Art Nouveau style, promises an unforgettable stay in the pitturesque Sestri Levante.

The new renovated Suite Hotel Nettuno (which once has been a Theatre) has conserved the original atmosphere and splendour of the Art Nouveau period, characterized by delicate Belle Epoque floral patterns which decorate rooms, lounges and the restaurant. At the same time however, it is equipped with modern comfort and advanced technology for the most demanding Guests.

The private beach of the hotel is available for our guests during the summer season (usually from mid-May to mid-September), with sun loungers and beach umbrellas in the first three rows close to the sea, and provides an admirable view over the Tigullio Gulf, in the background the small world-famous fishing village and since the fifties international Jetset place Portofino, and in a clear day, the Maritime Alps.

Private parking available.

The hotel is managed by a business family together with a very caring and professional staff that will look after its Guests with courtesy and competence.

Belle Epoque

The Art Nouveau appears in the smallest details, both in the design of the façade and in the floral ornaments that decorate all the interiors, in  contrast to the modern and technological equipment of the whole structure.

Originally built as a theatre, the Suite Hotel Nettuno has a large central hall (“Sala Teatro”) with amazing good acoustics, which is very suitable for the organization of various events such as a work conference, a wedding or a concert.

Sestri Levante

Small town on the Riviera del Levante, Sestri Levante is a gem located in the beautiful Gulf of Tigullio, at a distance of 45 km from the Cinque Terre (in the south) and 45 km from the city of Genoa (in the north), and at about 30 km from the world famous Portofino.

Embedded between two seas, by its natural configuration due to an isthmus connecting the peninsula to the mainland, Sestri Levante boasts two bays of legendary beauty known worldwide and once visited by famous people such as Lord Byron, Goethe and Hans Christian Andersen: the Bay of Fables and the small, picturesque Bay of Silence.

The Rooms

Each of the 18 bright and spacious rooms at the Suite Hotel Nettuno (Suite, Junior Suite or Quality) is unique with original frescoes in Art Nouveau style  from the beginning of the XX. Century.

The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, minibar, TV with 12 free Sky channels, electronical safe, telephone with direct external call, whirlpool bath or shower, and free wifi connection (throughout the whole structure).

Our Events

The Suite Hotel Nettuno, thanks to its stunning location on the beach and its magnificent sea view, is particularly suitable for events such as weddings, christenings, banquets, birthdays or others.

The terrace on the roof offers an unforgettable scenario for an aperitif "with a view" followed by a professionally served meal at the restaurant "La Terrazza".

Some of our rooms are on two floors (basement and first floor): entrance hall with bathroom and a nice living room with a sofa on the lower floor, and sleeping room (reachable by a comfortable wooden indoor stair) on the mezzanine.

They are therefore not only spacious for a couple, but also very suitable for a family (the sofa can be opened as a bed).

On the hotel roof you will find the summery and modern Lounge Bar with a beautiful sea view that you can enjoy with friends or with your family during an aperitif.

For a total well-being, we suggest you to relax in our deck-chairs, sipping a cocktail in the shade of curtains that resemble those of a sailboat , and cool off in our external Jacuzzi Bath.

The historic centre of the town has preserved its Genoese identity, which you can admire in the "caruggi" (the small main streets): the patrician houses built during the Genoese Republic (such as Villa Balbi, Palazzo Durazzo Pallavicini, Villa Durazzo) or the churches and monasteries (for instance the romanesque church “San Nicolò (XIIth century) or the monastery "Annunziata" (XVth Century), now converted into a conference center).

Some time ago, like many other towns in the area such as Portofino, Cinque Terre, Camogli, etc ..., Sestri Levante was a small fishing village whose most authentic witness is a small cargo sailing ship called "Leudo" (which transported mainly wine, slate and sand). One of the few still existing copies is located on the Bay of Fables.

Mainly seaside resort, but not only! For those who love trekking, Sestri Levante has also a strategic position for excursions, either to get directly from the small town into a network of trails, or to get to the Cinque Terre (reachable by train in about 40 minutes) or to the Portofino National Park.

And ultimate for those who love fashion: the boutiques located in Sestri Levante, Chiavari and Santa Margherita Ligure or the exclusive boutiques of Portofino are certainly a great temptation!

.

In addition, the “Theater Hall” can be transformed into a conference room with modern technical equipment that meets the needs of our most demanding customers, and is therefore a perfect location for business events, conferences and conventions.

Last but not least, the “Theater Hall”, by its very nature and excellent acoustics, is an ideal place for concerts!
